4S has an Ethics and Code of Conduct (CoC) policy. The Event Ethics Committee for the 2023 conference includes the Ethics and CoC committee members (Chair Vivian Choi, Angela Okune, Barkha Kagliwal, Amanda Windle), Conference Co-Chairs (Aya Hirata Kimura, Grant Jun Otsuki), and Conference Ombuds (Nassim Parvin, Gergely Mohácsi).
