In its meetings, the Finance Committee continued considering the financial arrangements of the society in the context of the increase in the size and complexity of Society finances. The Finance Committee prepared a document for the February 2021 meeting of the 4S Council outlining the potential to hire a Managing Director to allow more work to be devoted to the financial management of the society and to develop policies and procedures for financial management. This was endorsed by Council, and the Finance Committee was asked to develop a more fully expansive proposal and develop a job description. As the implications of this proposal involved a change to the staffing structure of 4S, further work on this was deferred to the Reorganization Committee.
