Visiting International Fellowship Schemes at The Unviersity of Sheffield (UK)

The Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield welcomes applications for its two Visiting International Fellowship Schemes. The first scheme is intended for an Early Career International Fellow, the second scheme for a Senior International Fellow. Fellowships are awarded for the duration of one academic year, and involve a mix of in-person (one visit) and virtual engagement and collaboration. In-person visits are expected to last between 4 and 6 weeks, and should avoid July and August. Applicants may request funding (of up to ~3-4,000) which is expected to support travel costs, but that may also contribute to accommodation / subsistence costs. The application deadline is the 6th of March, 2024.

The schemes are open to scholars worldwide who are able to demonstrate how they will contribute to fostering the development of international sociological research relations in the Department. Our research into Science Technology and Medicine in Society (STeMiS) represents one of our core research themes and applicants working in this area are strongly encouraged to apply.
