PROGRAM

Overview

STS as a field continues to grow and this is reflected in the interest people have to attend our annual conference. In order to accommodate the large number of accepted papers and sessions for the conference, we have modified the schedule slightly from previous years.  Sessions will still be Wednesday through Saturday.  However, we added another session block each day and will start earlier in the morning at 8AM. In addition, for those who arrive early, we will have a Tuesday evening registration reception.  If you want to avoid the morning rush to register Wednesday morning, you can do so Tuesday evening while enjoying some snacks and beverages.

You may also notice that unlike previous years, we will have multiple receptions, one each evening after the sessions and plenaries! We wanted to give folks several opportunities to socialize and network with other conference attendees.  And not to worry: Friday’s reception will still be special.  Prizes will be announced and we will be regaled by a New Orleans-based jazz band in the beautiful Louis Armstrong Ballroom overlooking the Mississippi River. In past conferences, Friday’s reception has required the purchase of tickets.  This year, all receptions will be open to all conference participants without the burden of an additional fee.
